Jamie + Amber

03-11-2022

Amber and Jamie’s real wedding at Harcourt Valley Winery was truly a night to remember! With a goal of creating a wedding that felt like a party, Amber and Jamie succeeded in making the night one that their guests will always remember. From the beautiful décor to the lively dance floor that kept everyone on their feet until the early morning hours, Amber and Jamie’s real wedding was a party to remember.

How did they meet?

Amber and Jamie’s love story began on the popular dating app, Tinder. After connecting on the app, they started chatting and went on a few dates. They found they had an instant connection and their relationship grew quickly.

However, it wasn’t until Jamie left for a five week trip to New York that they realized just how much they meant to each other. During his absence, they found that even when they were far apart, their connection remained strong.

Once Jamie returned, they both knew that they never wanted to be without each other again, and the rest is history!

The proposal story.

Our couple had plans to elope in Vegas, as Amber had always dreamed of getting married by Elvis. But when the pandemic struck and their plans were cancelled, Jamie decided to propose in a place that was special to Amber – Port Fairy.

Amber’s late grandfather used to take her there every summer when she was a child, and her family have kept the tradition alive ever since. When Jamie decided to propose at Port Fairy, he was certain that it would be an especially meaningful moment for Amber.

Fav part of the day?

Hands down, the fav moment for these lovebirds was when their DJ played “Welcome to the Black Parade”. This classic My Chemical Romance song brought back so many fond memories for these ex-emo kids. Everyone on the dance floor was singing along as Amber and Jamie were lifted up by Amber’s younger brothers. It was a beautiful moment that they will never forget! The couple found that it truly encapsulated their theme of making their wedding day feel like a party and the atmosphere was electric all night long.

Advice for couples planning their wedding.

First and foremost, Amber and Jamie recommend that couples pick the vendors they want without listening to anyone else’s opinions. It’s important to have a wedding that reflects your own unique vision, rather than trying to please everyone else.

Secondly, be sure to savour the moments that matter most during the wedding day. Too often couples can get caught up in the small details that it becomes easy to miss the bigger picture. It’s important to enjoy the day and soak in the atmosphere of all the happy people around you.

Finally, don’t forget to have fun! The goal of Amber and Jamie’s wedding was to have a party atmosphere, and this certainly shone through in their pictures. So don’t be afraid to let loose and enjoy the occasion – after all, it’s your special day!
