A swipe right success that led to these two meeting for a drink, it was a lot of AFL banter between these two, which now forms a big part of their lives together over winter!
Patrick recalls: “Looking back it was an accurate first impression-Kate was running late.Came into the bar, heels, back pack, sunglasses and the energy of a beehive.There’s only one version of Kate and we all know and love her.”
While we don’t know the exact details of this proposal, what we do know is the moment they both decided that they wanted to spend the rest of their lives with one another. In Melbourne for lockdowns, the world stopped, and Patrick and Kate grew as a couple.
They then welcomed their fur child Jordan the cat into their family, and they both just knew it was forever.
When trying to recall her favourite part of the day, Kate said it was a tough call between listening to Pat’s vows and the end of the night, where everyone broke into an impromptu singalong to ‘shallows’ to end the night with a bang.
The song has become a staple at most celebrations and nights out ever since.

Being relatively new to Bendigo, Kate relied on word of mouth to point her in the right direction for her local vendors, and word of mouth sent her to Culture Hitch.
Kate told us that she used the Instagram posts to point her to the vendors that matched the vibe she was looking for, and the rest was easy.

From the very start of the day, they all made me feel like Paddy and I were the most important and special people in the world. The beautiful Tara made me feel like I could feature on the cover of Vogue, my make up was absolutely flawless! Given how little I was able to sit still because of all the laughs she and I shared throughout the morning, I’m even more impressed that she was able to do such an incredible job.
Liv created the most beautiful bouquets and I’m so happy that we went with dried flowers, as now I get to keep them forever and every time I see my stunning flowers around my house I’m reminded of my special day.
Michael and Ashley were absolute perfection! They both made my morning so incredibly fun and captured the pure happiness we were experiencing that day. I am so grateful that I now have stunning photos and videos to relive our special moments.
Ryan is an absolute dance floor genius, he was able to read the room every step of the day/night and produce banger after banger that just fit the exact vibe. My dancing feet have never felt so warn out, but it was impossible to get off the dancefloor with those tunes pumping!
Last but certainly not least the outrageously talented and gorgeous Georgia, our day simply would not have been the same without her. The warmth and love that she shared with us, not only on the day but the months leading up to it, I can truly never thank her enough for how appreciative I really am.
