Morgan + Zac

17/09/2022

Morgan and Zac have been together since their teenage years and have recently tied the knot after 11 years of love and commitment.

On a cold, rainy September day, the couple opted for their plan B, a cosy indoor ceremony with their stunning reception turned into a night club, with the groom as the head DJ. The wedding had a warm candlelit, modern style with a traditional white and green theme, and an impressive sound system that kept the guests dancing all night long.

It took three years for the couple to plan their wedding due to the pandemic and the arrival of a new baby, which postponed their big day. On the wedding day, despite running on zero sleep and nerves taking over their bodies, the excitement was palpable as they finally exchanged their vows and became husband and wife.

The wedding was intimate, with only 64 guests, and the couple’s favorite moment was returning to the reception, taking it all in, being in the moment, and ready to let their hair down after three years of planning

Morgan gave us the low down on their big day and we HAD to share it with you!

How did they meet?

High school sweethearts, Zac and Morgan met when they were 14 and 15 years of age.

Zac asked Morgan out over a social media platform called MSN.

Morgan remembers

“I turned to mum and said mum Zacs asked me out!!
Mum replied “He’s not a bad boy you may as well”.”

Moral of the story: Mums always know best!

The proposal story.

On Morgan’s birthday in 2018, Zac took Morgan on a trip to Trentham falls.

The whole drive, Morgan knew something was off- Zac seemed less talkative than usual that was strange! Morgan picked up on some energy and thought she miiiight know what was going down.

After climbing down the sketchy dirt track our lovebirds wandered to the bottom of the waterfall- Zac was pacing around back and forth full of nerves, but suggested they climb under the waterfall.

So beneath the waterfall, in a small cave overlooking the gorgeous outlook, came the big question “Will you marry me, Morgan?”

Fav part of the day?

Favourite part would be walking in and seeing everyone’s smiling faces at the ceremony and my 11 month old son in his little tiny suit and Zac waiting at the end of the aisle.

Advice for couples planning their wedding.

“Our advice would be enjoy the day it goes way to quick take a breath and enjoy the moment.
Make sure you have food in your bellies and take it easy on the alcohol because nerves, stress, no food and alcohol don’t mix.
Don’t stress if things don’t go to plan, everyone’s day is their own different version of perfect.”

We love everything about this piece of advice from Morgan. While it can be very easy to get swept up in the excitement and forget to eat, it won’t help you remember the fabulous day that you had!

How did Culture Hitch help?

“We used Culture Hitch to find my incredible wedding dress vendor Fifi & Edga Bridal, we also were obsessed with looking through the real weddings it made us so, so excited for our own and gave us incredible wedding inspo.”
